HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE FACILITY

The Dalton/Whitfield Regional Solid Waste Management Authority is pleased to announce that the FIRST publicly owned and operated permanent Household Hazardous Waste Facility is located at the Old Dixie Landfill. The Authority constructed the facility in 1999 and had its first collection on June 19, 1999. |

A FEW THINGS TO REMEMBER BEFORE VISITING FACILITY:

The
facility is open the third Saturday of every month.

The
facility is operated from 7:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
G
The
facility is for Whitfield County residents only.
G
A MAXIMUM
of 220 lbs. is accepted from each resident.
G
The waste
must be in the original container and have the original label on it.
G
The
container must not leak.
G The contents must match the container label.
