Join Dalton’s Mayor Mock by taking the Keep it Clean Dalton Pledge!
The City of Dalton’s Mayor, Maryor Dennis Mock, is taking initiative, alongside students such as Brookwood Elementary’s Emery Silvers to make a difference in our town and our planet. Join them and take the Keep It Clean Dalton pledge!
“Our plan is to enlighten and then enlist at least 190 city 4th graders and their parents to adopt the 190 miles of city streets. We believe in a cleaner Dalton!! Will you help? “ - Mayor Mock
Mayor Mock’s Keep it Clean Dalton Pledge is available to local students in the City of Dalton. Each student is invited to adopt a road that is half a mile to one mile in length, and commit to removing litter from both sides of the road at least 4 times per year.
Cleanup supplies like safety vests, gloves, and litter grabbers can be borrowed from Keep Dalton-Whitfield Beautiful if enough notice is given. Trash bags are also available thanks to a generous sponsorship by GLAD through Keep America Beautiful.
After each cleanup groups are required to submit a cleanup status report. Certificates of participation are available for volunteers upon request. Photos submitted with the report may be posted on social media to thank and recognize the volunteers for helping to keep our city and county beautiful.
Will you make the commitment to do 4 clean ups this year? To participate complete the form below. Check out the map below to see the red areas (open roadways) and blue areas (adopted roadways).
