Birdwatching Hike with Keep Dalton-Whitfield Beautiful

Ready to learn how to start birding or already a seasoned pro? Birders of all levels are encouraged to join Dalton State College biology student and avid birder, Katie Pittman, on a bird watching hike on May 4th, from 9:00 am to 10:30 am. Bringing your own binoculars is encouraged, but there will be equipment on loan if needed. Learn to identify species and listen the beautiful music of our native birds. We will meet at the Dalton State Cascade Creek Trailhead near Brown Hall!

This event may be impacted by inclement weather, for up-to-date info visit keepdaltonwhitfieldbeautiful.org, email Amy Hartline at ahartline@dwswa.org, or call 706-264-1868.

This event is hosted by Keep Dalton-Whitfield Beautiful thanks to Dalton State and THRIVE's Resilient Community Program.

The goal of this program is to educate our community about the amazing diversity of plants and animals which live on Rocky Face Ridge and the environmental services which the ridge provides, such as flood control, cooling of the air in summer, and the storage of carbon.
